Welcome to the Seasoned Soul Sister’s Place🤍
If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’ve lived a little.
You’ve been hurt, misunderstood, betrayed, or stretched in ways you never asked for. You love God—and you’re still healing. Still unlearning. Still figuring out what wholeness looks like now.
This is a place for truth-telling and tenderness.
A place where faith and healing meet—without judgment, without pretending, and without pressure to be “over it.”
At Seasoned Soul Sister’s Place, we talk about the real things:
the scars we carry, the lessons they taught us, and the God who never left us while we were breaking. We believe healing is not rushed, forgiveness is a journey, and strength doesn’t always look loud.
You don’t have to explain yourself here.
You don’t have to be perfect.
You don’t have to have the right words.
Come as you are. Sit for a while. Read slowly. Breathe deeply.
This is a sisterhood rooted in Christ, guided by grace, and committed to becoming whole—together.
You’re safe here. And you’re not alone.

John 2:13-25
Sometimes Jesus Flips Tables
“Take these things away; stop making my Father’s house a marketplace!” — John 2:16
Today’s Reflection
Most people read this passage and immediately focus on the money changers. They assume Jesus was only angry because business was taking place in the Temple.
While that was certainly part of the problem, I believe His anger ran deeper.
This was His Father’s house.
A place set apart for worship, prayer, reverence, and communion with God had been reduced to something common. The people had forgotten what was sacred. They had lost sight of God’s purpose, God’s presence, and God’s heart.
And if we’re honest, sister, sometimes we do the same thing.
The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. We are sacred creations, fearfully and wonderfully made by God.
Yet too often we forget our worth and hand pieces of our hearts, our minds, our peace, and even our bodies over to people who have not learned how to value what God calls holy.
We give sacred access to broken men.
We settle for crumbs when God created us for covenant.
We allow people to handle carelessly what Heaven designed with intention.
Perhaps the lesson isn’t just about tables being overturned in the Temple.
Perhaps it’s also about allowing Jesus to overturn anything in our lives that causes us to forget that we belong to God.
Seasoned Soul Sister Moment
Can I ask you something, sister?
What tables might Jesus be flipping in your life today?
Maybe it’s:
Fear that has taken up too much space.
A relationship that is pulling you away from God.
Bitterness you’ve been carrying for years.
Busyness that leaves no room for prayer.
The need to please everyone except yourself.
Jesus doesn’t remove things to hurt us.
He removes things that keep us from Him.
What This Scripture Teaches Us
❤️ God desires sincere worship.
❤️ Jesus has authority over every area of our lives.
❤️ The resurrection proves that Jesus is exactly who He said He is.
❤️ Jesus knows our hearts—even the parts we hide from everyone else.
Prayer
Father,
Thank You for loving me enough to correct me when I drift away from You. Search my heart and reveal anything that is keeping me from walking closely with You. Give me the courage to release what no longer belongs in my life and help me create room for Your presence.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Journal Prompt
What is one “table” Jesus may be asking you to overturn in this season of your life?
Write honestly. This moment is between you and God.
Soul Sister Takeaway
Sometimes God’s greatest blessing isn’t what He adds to our lives.
Sometimes it’s what He lovingly removes.
The Woman God Wants Me to Be —Jenevieve Elise
Song Description:
Some wounds don’t start with heartbreak — they start in childhood. This is a soul-stirring gospel-jazz R&B ballad about a woman who spent her life searching for love in places that kept leaving her empty. From a father who walked away to relationships that repeated the same pain, she carried scars she never asked for.
But this is not a story about staying broken. This is a story about healing. About God gathering every shattered piece and reminding her that she was never abandoned. A powerful anthem for every woman who has cried in silence, questioned her worth, and finally decided to choose herself and trust God’s purpose.
Not every love story begins with another person. Sometimes it begins with finding yourself again.
“I’m becoming the woman God created me to be.” – Jenevieve Elise
